🚫 CRITICAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Undergraduate students are strictly NOT eligible to apply. Only graduated scholars holding at least a completed 4-year degree (BS, MSc, MBBS, BDS, BE, Pharm-D) who are currently enrolled in or possessing an MS/MPhil, PhD, or Post-Doctoral Fellowship can apply.

Full official name of your university/research organization — e.g., National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad. Include city name.
Your current official title — e.g., "PhD Research Scholar in Quantum Computing, NUST" or "Post-Doctoral Fellow, Aga Khan University Hospital".
Your scientific specialty in 5 words or less — e.g., "Oncological Drug Delivery Systems" or "2D Topological Quantum Materials".
Select the option that best describes your primary current role. Undergraduate students are NOT eligible — do not apply.
Your very first completed university-level degree — the foundational qualification you hold (e.g., BS Chemistry, MBBS, BE Electrical).

5. Two Academic Referees

Provide contact details of two senior professors/PIs who have signed recommendation letters on their institutional letterhead.

  • Referees must be senior professors, Deans, or PIs who are directly familiar with your research and character.
  • Official institutional email addresses (e.g. @pieas.edu.pk, @nust.edu.pk, @aku.edu) should be provided.
  • Ensure you have obtained their recommendation letters on official university letterhead (to upload in Step 6).
Referee 1 (Primary Advisor / Department Chair)
Include full academic title — e.g., "Prof. Dr. Tariq Banuri, NED University" or "Dr. Sadia Naseem, PIEAS". Must be a senior academic who knows your research.
Official academic title — e.g., "Dean, Faculty of Sciences", "Professor of Molecular Biology", "Head of Department, Chemistry". Avoid vague titles.
Full university name with city — e.g., "Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore" or "Aga Khan University, Karachi".
⚠️ Must be an official institutional email — e.g., @lums.edu.pk, @nust.edu.pk, @aku.edu. Gmail/Yahoo addresses are NOT accepted for referees.
Direct line with country code — e.g., +92-42-35608000. The Selection Committee may contact your referee directly for verification.
Referee 2 (Senior Scientist / Collaborator)
Second referee should ideally be from a DIFFERENT institution than Referee 1 — e.g., a collaborating professor or a national-level scientist who knows your research.
Official academic title — e.g., "Distinguished National Professor (HEC)", "Principal Investigator, NUST-SCME", "Associate Professor, QAU".
Full official university name with city — preferably different institution from Referee 1 to demonstrate your wider academic network.
